PRIVATE ISTANBUL TOUR – 2 DAYS
A private guided tour of Istanbul over two days is an excellent way to discover the city’s rich history, cultural heritage, and iconic landmarks at a relaxed pace. With your licensed professional guide, you will explore both the historic heart of the city and its vibrant modern districts.
DAY 1: PRIVATE ISTANBUL TOUR
Meet your private tour guide at your hotel or cruise port and begin your full-day exploration of Istanbul’s most important historical sites.
Your 8-hour private excursion starts with a comfortable pick-up and a guided walk through the old city.
Visit the magnificent Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture that served as the world’s largest church for centuries and later as an imperial mosque during the Ottoman era. Dedicated to “Divine Wisdom,” it remains one of the most significant monuments in world history.
Continue to the iconic Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque), famous for its stunning blue İznik tiles and elegant domes. Once considered the Supreme Imperial Mosque of Istanbul, it stands directly opposite Hagia Sophia.
Explore Topkapi Palace, the former residence of Ottoman sultans for nearly 400 years. At its peak, the palace housed around 4,000 people and served as the administrative heart of the empire. Highlights include imperial courtyards, exquisite İznik tiles, and the famous Harem section.
Visit the Hippodrome of Constantinople, originally built in 203 AD by Roman Emperor Septimius Severus. See the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, Column of Constantine, and the German Fountain of Wilhelm II.
End the day at the legendary Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets, home to hundreds of shops selling carpets, jewelry, ceramics, spices, and Turkish coffee.

DAY 2: PRIVATE ISTANBUL TOUR
After meeting your guide, continue discovering Istanbul’s vibrant atmosphere and scenic waterfront.
Visit the colorful Spice Bazaar, also known as the Egyptian Market, where spices, dried fruits, sweets, and local delicacies have been traded since Ottoman times.
Enjoy views along the legendary Bosphorus, the natural strait separating Europe and Asia and connecting the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea. Along the way, admire Ottoman palaces, mosques, and the historic Rumeli and Anadolu Fortresses at the narrowest point of the strait.
Visit Dolmabahce Palace, built in the 19th century as the administrative center of the late Ottoman Empire. The palace was constructed on reclaimed land along the Bosphorus, giving rise to its name, meaning “filled garden.”
Stroll along lively Istiklal Street, one of Istanbul’s busiest and most famous avenues, lined with shops, cafés, restaurants, and historic buildings.
Walk toward the historic Galata Tower area, marking the end of your city exploration.
